Q&A: Health Insurance Reimbursement For Acupuncture Visits in Our Office
Q. Do you accept Health Insurance?
Yes, we do accept many health insurance plans.
In-Network: We are in-network with United-Oxford Freedom plan, however not all Freedom plans include acupuncture as a covered benefit. You may be responsible to pay a co-payment or co-insurance payment directly to us at the time of service. Call us to check your plan benefits. If your plan covers the office visit, all co-payments must be paid at the time of service. This arrangement is part of your contract with your insurance company.
Out-of-Network: We can call your insurance provider to verify your benefits for you. If your insurance provider covers for Out-of-Network acupuncture you may be responsible for meeting an out-of-pocket deductible and for co-insurance payment or co-payment directly to us at the time of service.
Medicare: At this time Medicare does not cover acupuncture services.
Skype Wellness Consultations: Insurance will not cover this service.
Q. What forms of payments do you accept?
A. For in person visits, we accept cash, N.Y. state checks, credit cards and HSA cards. Payment is due at the time services are rendered. For Skype consultations we only accept credit cards.
